Requirements for applying to the Associate Degree Nursing program
By
submitting the application, students certify that they have read the
Curriculum Guide and understand the admission requirements for the
Associate Degree Nursing Program.
In
addition, I understand that applications submitted by the May 20
deadline without all required documentation attached to the
application will not be accepted.
All
applicants must have completed 12 or more college credit hours with
a GPA of 2.75 or above in the approved nursing curriculum.
Students also must meet the following criteria to qualify for the
applicant pool:

Submission of a letter verifying
MNA state certification for a minimum 75-contact-hour Medicaid
Nursing Assistant (MNA) course that includes Abuse Registry
information.

Achievement of the Computer
Literacy requirement as defined by the Kentucky Community and
Technical College System (KCTCS).

Completion of all pre-requisites:
BIO 137 (with grade “C” or better and completed within the last
10 years). PY 110 or PSY 100 and Math 110 or MT 150 (with a
grade of “C” or better).

Completion of the NLN PAX-RN
Pre-admission exam with a minimum composite score of 105, and a
verbal score falling within or above the 50th
percentile.
