Frances
E. Campeau, M.S., R.T.(R)(M)
Advisory Committee Chairperson
|
From 1958 to 1978, Frances E. Campeau worked as a radiography
at the old Louisville General Hospital, where she started
her career as a student. In 1978, she served as technical
director of the department of radiology and as program director
and instructor in the hospital's radiologic technology program.
During her career, Frances was instrumental in transitioning
the hospital-based program to the collegiate level. In the
summer of 2000, Professor Campeau retired as program director
of the University of Louisville School of Radiography.
During her remarkable career, Frances has served two terms
as President of the Kentucky Society of Radiography.
The society honored her with a life membership and she is
an honorary Olive Bell Memorial Lecturer. Additionally,
Professor Campeau is a charter member and past President
of the American Educators in Radiological Sciences.
Presently, Frances continues to serve her
profession as an accreditation site-visitor for the Joint
Review Committee on Education in Radiography.
Indeed, Frances has been a teacher, mentor and role-model
for numerous generations of radiographers. For your many
contributions--we reserve this page in your honor.
