Radiography Program Faculty
Pamela Colburn, AS, R.T. (R) (CT) CRA
Advisory Committee Chairperson
Pamela Colburn graduated Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Radiography in 1977. She began her radiology career as a diagnostic radiologic technologist at Kentucky Baptist Hospital in July of 1977. After performing diagnostic procedures for six months, she was promoted to a vascular tech and also began learning CT scanning. She assumed a full time position as a CT technologist in March of 1980. In January of 1984, Pamela transferred to Baptist Hospital East to operate their first CT scanner. Shortly after transferring to BHE, she was promoted to the role of CT supervisor. While supervisor, the CT department grew from one scanner to three scanners. In 1991, Pam also assumed duties related to MRI and began supervising the MR area as well as CT. In 1995, she was promoted to the role of Assistant Director of the radiology department at Baptist Hospital East. In 2001, she became the Director of Radiology.
Pamela received her Associate Degree in Radiography from the University of Louisville in 1994. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Care Administration at Midway College. In April of 2004, Pamela passed the Certified Radiology Administrator exam given by AHRA
