Surgical Technology
The Surgical Technology Program is in
"inactive status" at this time.

Program Term:

- Completion of the Surgical Technology program takes approximately 11 months, following completion of pre-requisite courses.
- It is a full-time program held Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Clinical days are on hospital schedules, 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
- Students rotate through each clinical site.
- Transportation to and from Jefferson Technical Campus and clinical sites, and all parking fees for clinical sites are the responsibility of the student.
To be eligible for the program:
In order to be considered by the Surgical Technology Admissions
Committee, each applicant must attend a pre-admissions conference
and/or meet with the Academic Program Coordinator and present the
following credentials by March 15 of the year in which the student
is applying for admission:
- Application for admission to the college.
- Notice of Intent to Surgical Technology Program.
- High school transcript indicating the applicant has or will
have completed a high school course of study or a passing GED
report.
- Official transcripts of all post-secondary education; and
list of all current classes at all post-secondary schools.
- ACT, SAT or Compass test Score Report.
- Optional:
- Documentation of a minimum of 8 hours of observation and/or
experience in a surgical technology setting.
- Any Letters of Recommendation.
