Priority Listing for Work Requests

The following is a listing of how we prioritize the work request that are received.

This list goes from most important to least important.

  1. PeopleSoft and/or Network problems (this does not include local pc)
  2. Dead PC and/or Printer (Student use)
  3. Dead PC and/or Printer (Faculty/Staff use) (2 & 3 also include software faults that render the PC inoperable)
  4. Critical Software problems (i.e. word processor not working)
  5. PC Network Connection Problem
  6. Semi-critical Hardware upgrade (i.e. RAM to speed up slow computer)
  7. Connecting PC to the Network
  8. Non-critical Software problems (i.e. Internet software)
  9. Software loading
  10. Non-critical Hardware upgrades (sound cards, CD-ROM's...etc.)
  11. Planning/Consulting Hardware/Software/Network
