• Access to a personal computer. A Pentium 2 processor with Windows 98 (2000 or XP preferred) and minimum of 64 MB RAM, or a Macintosh/Apple computer with OS 7.0 or higher with access to a printer is recommended.
  
  
• Reliable e-mail software and an active e-mail account. KCTCS provides all students with a student email account.
  
  
• Reliable Internet access with a 56.6 Kbps modem or higher.
  
  
• Internet Explorer Browser 5.0 or higher
  
  
• Access to current word processing software, ( Microsoft Word preferred) or the ability to convert files to Rich Text Files (RTF).
  
  
• Your course may require a special plug-in (free) such as access to streaming media (video / audio clips).
  
  
• An Adobe PDF document reader 5.0 or higher (free).
