KCTCS Board of Regents approves additional tuition increase
|

VERSAILLES, Ky. (January 24, 2008) - The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Board of Regents voted today to recommend to the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) a $4 increase in the in-state tuition rate raising it to $119 per credit hour – including fees – effective the 2008 summer term during a special meeting in Versailles. |

Jefferson Community & Technical College will hold its 21st annual Career/Allied Health Fair from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Jan. 31, 2008, in the VTI Building, 110 W. Chestnut St., on the college’s Downtown Campus at Second and Chestnut Streets. |

KCTCS responds to governor’s budget cuts with $6,861,000 reduction
|
LOUISVILLE, KY - (January 4, 2008) - The Kentucky Community and Technical College will implement a $6.86 million budget reduction plan in response to Gov. Beshear’s 3 percent mid-year budget cut request designed to address the state’s revenue shortfall. During the coming weeks, all KCTCS colleges will develop local plans to satisfy the governor’s request. Jefferson Community and Technical College’s share of the mid-year reduction is $673,600, or roughly 10 percent of the KCTCS total.

KCTCS Launches a Plan for a Competitive Commonwealth
|
Louisville, Ky., Dec. 12, 2007—Dr. Michael B. McCall, president of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, met with about 50 area leaders in Louisville yesterday, to present KCTCS’s business plan, Plan for a Competitive Commonwealth 2008-2020. The plan outlines specific steps that must be taken to meet the needs of Kentucky’s changing economy and the mandates that were issued to the system as part of the state’s 1997 higher education reform efforts.
