Jefferson employees honored for innovation, impact
|
Marsh and Rogers earn New Horizon recognition
VERSAILLES, Ky. (May 25, 2007) – Two Jefferson Community and Technical College employees were honored recently for innovation and achievement during the annual New Horizon banquet held by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
New Horizon is the highest honor presented by KCTCS and is awarded each year to a faculty member and staff member from each of state’s 16 community and technical colleges and a staff member from the KCTCS office. |

It couldn’t be more true than it is for many of this year’s Jefferson Community and Technical College graduates, who will be honored at a ceremony on Thursday, May 10. |

JCTC aids return of American chestnut tree
|

LOUISVILLE, KY – Once prominent throughout the Eastern United States, the American chestnut tree was devastated in the early 20th century by a blight caused by a fungus. This month up to 10 American chestnut tree seedlings will be planted on Chestnut Street by Jefferson Community & Technical College, marking the return of a tree believed to missing from the area for nearly a century. |

Technical Campus invites career exploration during open house April 14
|
LOUISVILLE, KY -- Inside two brick buildings at Eighth and Chestnut streets is whirlwind of activity where students prepare for divergent careers from surgical technology to auto repair to criminal justice. It’s a place where careers are launched or advanced and where people frequently find their calling.
Jefferson Community and Technical College has invited the general public to explore career possibilities available through the programs at the college’s Jefferson Technical Campus at 727 W. Chestnut Street. An Open House is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. The program will start in Building A.
