Early
Childhood Development Center
STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

The objective of the Early Childhood Development Center is to promote the growth of the whole child through play. Our highly-trained professional staff creates a learning environment that allows for self-exploration and discovery and that fosters each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. We believe that parents/families play a major role in a child’s success at school, and we encourage their involvement in events, activities, and conferences. Our goal is that children leave our program with a strong sense of self and an enthusiasm for learning that will lead to success throughout their school years and their lives.
GENERAL PROGRAM
• The Center is a laboratory training facility for the college's Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education students.
• The center is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, a department of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
The Center is open for observation and provides a model of the best in educational programs and care for young children.
