Mission Statement

Jefferson Community and Technical Colleges Libraries

The function of the Libraries is to contribute to the mission and vision of Jefferson Community and Technical College by:

1. Educating individuals and groups toward information literacy in our contemporary information society
   
2. Serving as general computing facilities;
   
3. Providing excellent, responsive service to all service communities;
   
4. Preparing students to succeed in technical and pre-baccalaureate programs, business and industry training, professional development and enrichment;
   
5. Ensuring that the Learning Resource Center facilities, collections and services are accessible, user-friendly, clean, comfortable, adequate for all user's needs and technologically up-to-date;
   
6. Promoting all forms of literacy and freedom of inquiry, while challenging censorship.
