Textbooks:
Textbooks for all online courses offered within KCTCS can be purchased at the KCTCS Distance Learning Bookstore. You do not need to contact bookstores at individual KCTCS institutions. This site handles all online courses, regardless of who provides the course. JCTC bookstores cannot guarantee they will have textbooks for courses provided by other institutions, only those offered through JCTC. Financial Aid can also be used through this site.
Online Orientation:
This tutorial provides eLearners with important information regarding their online education at JCTC. From technical requirements to computer skills assessment, the JCTC Online Orientation is required for all students.
KCTCS Email:
An email account is created for KCTCS students upon enrollment in their first course. 24 hours after initial enrollment, students will go to https://webmail.kctcs.edu to activate their account. This will provide the student with a Username and Password, which will be used to access:
Email
PeopleSoft student account
Blackboard (online courses)

PeopleSoft:
PeopleSoft is the name of the student information system utilized by KCTCS. In simple terms, it is your student account, which provides you self-service for many actions, including making payment and adding/dropping courses. You can also view your financials, course schedule, and any test scores/transfer credit posted to your account. To access this site, you must first activate your KCTCS email account. Once this is done you can login, using your PeopleSoft username and password, at https://students.kctcs.edu.

Tuition:
JCTC DOES NOT MAIL TUITION BILLS. Students can access their tuition bill through their PeopleSoft student account at https://students.kctcs.edu. It is the responsibility of students to know the payment deadlines for the semester.
