Interactive Television

Interactive Television (ITV or closed-circuit) refers to courses delivered point-to-point or point-to-multi-point through two-way, compressed video. ITV means students and teachers are separated only by space, and participate in live lectures and questions and answers.

Student attend classes on a regularly scheduled basis. The instructor has full contact with students through a two-way or multi-link connection.

Instructors lecture as in a regular classroom. Students may ask questions or participate in discussions though an audio link with the instructor. In return, students receive direct answers-- just as they would if the instructor was located in the same classroom.
