Advising at Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) has a mission of serving prospective and current students in need of advisement for academics, career and life. The goals of advisement will allow students to progress successfully from admissions to graduation, while experiencing the excitement and challenge of a college curriculum.
Academic advising at JCTC is a process designed to help students learn successful strategies for academic, career and life success.
New students can find information about applying to the college and registering for their first college semester. Transfer students with credits from other colleges will need to have official transcripts sent to the college as well as their own copy before speaking with an advisor. Returning students will need to update their application before signing up for classes.
Academic success requires knowledge of important strategies such as time management, study skills and test-taking techniques.
Students interested in taking courses on-line can visit the JCTC eLearning website to find information on courses and processes.
