Kentucky Community and Technical College President (KCTCS) Dr. Jay Box announced today that former KCTCS vice president, Dr. Gwen Joseph will become interim president of Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) effective August 16. Joseph retired from KCTCS in December 2011.

Jefferson's admission application deadlines are approaching. If you want to enroll at JCTC for the Fall semester, apply by the following dates:

  • First-time in college or Freshman:  July 15
  • Transfer or Returning students:  August 1
  • Visiting students:  August 14
  • Metroversity students:  August 19

The Jefferson Community and Technical College Foundation awarded $100,000 in scholarships to 27 JCTC students seeking to advance their higher educations. The awards were presented by Foundation Board members and Jubilee volunteers and sponsors in a ceremony on the Downtown Campus on May 14, 2015.

Bruce Feiler, author and adventurer, will present “Sacred Journeys: An Evening with Bruce Feiler” at 7 p.m. April 8, 2015, at Jefferson Community and Technical College.

The free program, sponsored by JCTC as part of the college’s annual Unity Arts Festival, is open to the public. Registration is required at http://sacredjourneys.eventbrite.com

Jefferson Community and Technical College’s Academic “A” Team road an impressive comeback, including defeating the eventual champion, to finish in  5th place in the Community College Championship Tournament in Atlanta Feb. 27 and 28.
