Jefferson Community & Technical College Chef Damaris Phillips returns to Food Network Sunday, March 16, for the second season of her show “Southern at Heart.”
The show, which was created for Phillips after she won last year’s “Next Food Network Star” competition, airs at 10:30 a.m. Sundays.
Phillips, an instructor of Culinary Arts at JCTC, also is a graduate of the program.
On “Southern at Heart,” Phillips plays both matchmaker and chef, teaching kitchen neophytes how to impress their dinner dates with her fresh take on Southern cuisine.
The show frequently features scenes of Louisville and Kentucky and celebrates the region’s rich culinary heritage.
