Meeting Time:

Meetings are held every Monday afternoon from 3-4 in the Student Senate Lounge. The Lounge is located in the basement of the VTI Building on the Downtown Campus. All meetings are open and students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Student Senate was founded in 1968 to represent the student population. The Senates purpose is to further student interest and facilitate leadership by:

Providing direct input into polices relating to academic affairs and student life
Providing student input into available campus services and activities
Providing meaningful educational, social, cultural, and service opportunities for students
Fostering constructive communication and interaction among the different segments of the campus community

The Student Senate is governed by its own Executive Officers and legislation polices.
